In its early history, it earned the nickname “laughing gas” for the euphoria it can produce when inhaled in sufficient concentration, but the nitrous oxide we use here at the Kenneth R. Russell DDS dental offices will only be enough to keep you relaxed throughout your dental procedure. Before beginning the treatment, we’ll place an inhaler over your nose and let you breathe in the gas for a few minutes to start feeling its calming effect. Next comes a local anesthetic to completely numb the area, and then we’ll start the treatment. With nitrous oxide, you’ll get to stay relaxed and content throughout your procedure, allowing us to provide our expert care without causing you any discomfort.
