Instead, you will just lie back in the dental chair and breathe normally. The mask won’t interfere with the work we’re doing in your mouth. The medication moves quickly into the bloodstream to deliver the desired effect. And when we are finished with your procedure, you will need to breathe oxygen for several minutes as the effects wear off. Then, you’ll be ready to go, and you can even drive yourself home.
